Spanish Society of Dual Diagnosis (SEPD) Scholarships

The Spanish Society of Dual Diagnosis (SEPD) calls for a new competition to obtain one of the 80 fellowships of attendance to assist at the III International Congress on Dual Disorders to be held in Barcelona from October 23 to October 26, 2013.

The SEPD offers:
• 40 grants of 490 euros for full registration fee
• 4
0 grants of 245 euros for half registration fee

Conditions:

  • Those applications from professionals with a psychosocial orientation (non-physicians) or from developing countries will be evaluated preferably.

  • It is Indispensable to be a Full Member of the Spanish Society of Dual Diagnosis

  • Within one month at the end of the Congress, the contractor will be responsible for sending a copy of his/her “Certificate of Assistance” to the Congress Secretariat. Failure to comply with this section, implicates the payment of the total amount of the grant awarded by the SEPD to the contractor.

Points that will be taking into account:

  • - Age, job related with the dual diagnosis area, ease of other funding sources.

  • - An abstract submission to the III International Congress on Dual Disorders, 2013.

Amount of Grant:
The SEPD will be responsible for the payment of a full registration fee or a 50% registration fee, according to the fellowship awarded to the successful contractor.

The scholarship only includes the registration fee, NOT the accommodation or any other travel expenses.

Application Procedure

Submit written request (free text in Word document) accompanied by filiation and workplace, as well as the reasons that justify the request to secretariat@cipd2013.com (subject of e-mail "Grant Application").

Deadline: June 17, 2013.

he awarding of grants is the responsibility of the Congress Organization Committee and shall be communicated to the winners within one week after the above deadline date.

SEPD – WPA Scholarships

The SEPD (Spanish Society of Dual Pathology) and the Organizing Committee of the III International Congress on Dual Disorders, sponsored by the WPA and WPA Section on Dual Disorders / Pathology will provide 14,700 euros in scholarships for registration fees to encourage the participation of young psychiatrists in Dual Diagnosis from developing countries members of the WPA.

These scholarships are formalized through 30 Full Registration Fees of 490 euros and will be given to young people from Latin American countries, Africa and Eastern Europe.

All applicants must send a request to the Congress Secretariat exposing their reasons why they wish to attend this event.

The scholarships include:

  • Congress Material

  • Access to all sessions, trade exhibition and poster presentations

  • Certificate of Attendance

Conditions:

Besides the above, the winners will have a meeting to express their concerns and proposals as well as to receive information or share activities in their home countries led by the WPA Education Program.

The winners will commit to attend the Congress and to participate in the meeting mentioned above.
